Blog 8 "Tell us about a subject you enjoy studying"

 When I was in high school I just tried to fulfil my schoolwork and have good grades, after a while my interest in Biology grew and became my favourite subject of study. For me the study of living beings is so exciting and diverse, there is so much that you still do not discover every living being that makes it too interesting and curious. The study of human evolution is difficult to explain in addition to the fact that there are several theories of how it was the formation of planet earth and the appearance of the first living beings in the place. I think the best thing for me was to study the variety of theories that exist and the different opinions that exist.  When it came time to study the human body my interest in studying biology and chemistry grew. Blog 7 "Topic A"

  Well today I decided to talk about a website that I like quite a lot and I usually visit a lot. The website is Netflix, a platform well known around the world. On Netflix you can watch movies, series and documentaries films, most of which are owned by the platform, but there are also many films that are from other companies. Then I leave the link so you can visit the website and have fun just like I https://www.netflix.com/cl/   It's one of my favorite pastimes, as I spend moments with my family every Friday watching a movie and eating something. I've seen a lot of movies and also learned about a lot of cultures from documentaries films. Netflix is recommended for all ages, it also has options to place mode only for kids with educational videos. Personally for me, it is an option to eliminate stress from my body and mind when I have bad days, watching a series or a movie is like therapy for me and I can calm down and be in a good mood after a bad time or excessive stress....

Blog 6 "How can your major make the world a better place"

  Well, I'm studying chemistry and pharmacy, I think as a pharmaceutical chemist I can make the world a better place by providing help and proper guidance regarding the use of medicines. I would like to be a correct professional dedicated to people of all ages who need the acquisition of medicines for themselves or for the care of others. I see myself working in an independent pharmacy, which is recognized and loved by people. I sincerely believe that for the same reason I wanted to study this, social assistance for me is very important being a contribution and encouraging correct behavior is the basis for studying chemistry and pharmacy.  In times of pandemic, the work of the pharmaceutical chemist became much more important and was required for the research and  creation of a vaccine for Covid-19. I hope to be part of important procedures like creating vaccines to help and keep the community safe.

Blog 5 "A photo and its story"

  The photo I will talk about today was taken by a friend in our “Study Tour” in January 2020, in the city of Castro / Chiloé. The photo was taken while we were taking a boat ride to visit the island and get to know the famous "Palafitos", we even reached the place where a television series was filmed in Chile "Isla Paraíso". The boat ride was guided by a woman who lives in the city, she told us about curious facts and about the history of "El Trauco". In this photo, you can see a restaurant in the city of Castro built on the wáter. I remember that at that moment some very tender sea lions appeared waiting for a cook from the restaurant who gave them fish to eat every day and the seagulls also waited and flew to steal the fish from the sea lions hahaha. This photo is very beautiful and reminds me of the good times lived in those four days in the south of Chile with my friends.

Blog 4 'A meal or food that I really like'

  The truth is that I don't have a favorite food, I like to eat everything, but there is very tasty food,  the "Dumplings". I've never eaten them in a restaurant or made by expert cooks, the first time I ate them was when I made them with my mother for fun. It took us more than five hours, it was supposed to be our lunch, but we finished cooking them at six o'clock in the afternoon. They are a dough made with flour and water then filled with whatever you want, I filled them with meat and vegetables, finally, they are steamed.  You may know this food for the movie Kung Fu Panda,  And yes, they appear in this movie since they are a typical Chinese food and Po liked to eat Dumplings a lot just like me. Eating dumplings makes me very happy and I also get very tired after cooking them, but that's okay.  I hope you dare to cook Dumplings, you will be amazed.  Bye Bye!

Blog 3 “My Favourite piece of technology”

  Well, today I will talk about the “Bicycle”.  You may be wondering, what is so special about it? For me, it is one of the best creations in life it is so useful, comfortable, and DOES NOT POLLUTE a very important point at this time.  It is a very cool object, we can transport ourselves to various places with a bicycle and it also serves to exercise. I specifically use it to go to the supermarket, go out with my friends for a ride or just ride down the street and feel the wind on my face.  I think it is a very useful creation and everyone who has a bicycle should use it surely they will not regret it. Also, most of us from childhood our parents taught us to ride a bicycle.  A world without bicycles would mean the passage to more sedentary humanity and to a world where polluting machines are chosen.  I would like people to be aware of the contamination.

Blog 2 "Why did I choose my major (study program)?"

When I was a child, working in a supermarket seems like too much fun and cool, I wanted to give the money to people. I also thought about being a teacher, obviously, they were just fantasies.  Finally, I discovered that Chemistry and Pharmacy existed, from that moment I knew that it was what I should study. I was always interested in the number of medicines that exist and the different functions that each one fulfills, besides chemistry is too interesting for me, these are the reasons why I decided to study Chemistry and Pharmacy. The truth is that I never had other real study options I always thought about Chemistry and Pharmacy and that was my goal.  My experience until now has been one of sadness and frustration because I have not had good grades, it is hard for me to get used to it.
